My son with his Aunt Jodie, on the beach at Boston. The water was really this blue. | My son, Eric, on the left, with his Aunt and Uncle, Jodie and Bill. I believe they are standing on Plymouth Rock. |
I went to Philadelphia in 1992 as part of a honeymoon trip. (Now we're divorced) My husband is a Quaker and wanted to go there to see Quaker and other historical sights. One thing we didn't try, but it would have been fun, was to go for a horse and carriage ride. Here is a picture of the many ones we saw.
We saw the United States Mint in the main part of town. (on the right) There were lots of statues and historical markers too. There were also plenty of Quaker sights and towards the outside of town there was a museum associated with a local university. I have lots more pictures of Philly on another site, dedicated just to that nice little town. The statue on the left is from the B'Nai B'Rith group. You can read what it says if you click on the picture to get the larger view of it.
We took a ferry to go on to Atlantic City. I was kind of scared but went ahead. I found myself standing or sitting near the life boat most of the time. It was also very windy and cold. Plus I found myself getting a bit sea sick too.
Let me show you some of the South East 1993
Maybe an hour's drive, outside of Raleigh. We went to a home schoolers week end gathering there. Here's a whole page about the weekend. | A beautiful place for other meetings. This is where my son went to a NCACS conference. There is a page just about that if you want to go to it. |
A little story about some of the other places I have been to...
I've been to Florida twice, but don't have any pictures. Likewise, I went to the Mardi Gras in 1975 but didn't have a camera with me (my then husband refused to let me buy one, saying he didn't want us to look like tourists with a camera hanging around our necks. I sure wish I hadn't "obeyed" him!) I especially wish I had one when we went to the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest and then on to California. Heck, in California we lived with some actors in the mountains above Malibu. I was a Mother's Helper and he was a handyman to the family that has the twins that played Carried in Little House on the Prairie. Besides them, besides the beautiful sights, Bob Dylan's house was just around the mountain bend plus Donna Douglas who played Ellie Mae on the Beverly Hillbillies home was close too. Then we went on to Mexico and lived in Guadalajara for about 3 months and I have no pictures from there either. He always said he would keep the pictures in his head. Sorry, but my memory isn't that sharp. I wish I had the pictures. Besides, I would love to share them with others.
Choose whatever may interest you. (or go back to whatever page you came from)
I'll include my list of all my "regular" web pages at the top of each page so if you get tired of hearing all about me, you can escape to some place else. But for now, here are some more personal pages...
These are somewhat better looking pages, with more information too.
If you want to go to other pages in this series you can click on any of these. Most of these were made quickly, just to show my "artistry" (or lack of) in photography. Some are just fun pictures to look at. Below this series are many of my better pages, with both photos and stories about the people, places or things they are taken of.
Hey, when I said "All about me," I really meant it!
